Abstract

This study seeks to demonstrate how children construct knowledge through playful experiences. It examines the pedagogical value of ludic activities in early education, analyzing how play fosters cognitive and emotional development. A broad bibliographic review was conducted using sources such as Scielo and Google Scholar to explore the structuring role of play in childhood learning. Throughout the research process, it became evident that play transcends mere amusement: it enables children to explore their identities, engage with their surroundings, and cultivate foundational academic abilities in areas such as mathematics, science, literacy, composition, and social understanding. The study underscores the imperative of integrating games and playful strategies as essential components of the educational process, encouraging both holistic growth and the emergence of autonomy in young learners.
