Abstract

Knowledge Management (KM) is a key practice for contemporary organizations, as it allows the optimization of information and experiences use, fostering innovation and competitiveness. This paper explores how KM can be implemented in companies and what benefits it provides. The research revisits the existing literature, highlighting the contributions of authors such as Nonaka and Takeuchi, who support the theory of knowledge creation, and Davenport and Prusak, who address the strategic value of information. Through a case study, KM practices in a Brazilian company are analyzed, evidencing the positive results in improving organizational performance. The research concludes that KM is not only a tool for efficiency, but a vital strategy for the long-term sustainability of companies.
