Desafios da equipe de gestão escolar: Uma análise teórica

Abstract

This paper presents a theoretical review about School Management. In addition to the contextualization, a conceptual review of the theme is made in an attempt to promote the reflection of professionals and community involved with national education, especially with regard to public education. This whriten is justified because it subsidizes professionals in reflection about the roles and the responsibilities inherent to the School Management function. Then, the legal bases of education are presented. It`s important to say that the basic elements of the democratic school management are: the school council; the Pedagogical Political Project and the School Board (elected directly by the community). Therefore, each of these components is discussed peer-to-peer. This work is expected to be a turning point for the critical eye on school management and the importance of democracy, especially in underprivileged and under-educated communities. It is understood that the promotion of education is a potential factor for the change of Brazilian social problems and it is intended that the pedagogical teams and the teaching professionals are aware of its importance in the democratic teaching process and bring the community closer to the education centers and citizenship promotion places.
