Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The author(s) must ensure that the submission is original and unpublished, and that it is not under review by another journal; otherwise, a justification must be provided in “Comments to the Editor.”
  • The author(s) must submit the final file in Microsoft Word or RTF format.
  • The author(s) must select the section most appropriate for the article.
  • The author(s) must guarantee that there are no references or information that could reveal the authors’ identities.
  • The submission must follow the style standards and bibliographic requirements according to the Revista Educação Sem Distância template.
  • The submission must strictly follow the formatting rules indicated in the call for papers (e.g., ABNT standards, page limits, bilingual abstract, keywords).
  • The author(s) must ensure that the submitted file has no identifying information, guaranteeing blind review.
  • The author(s) must declare that the work respects ethical principles of research and publication.
  • The submission must be aligned with the journal’s scope and contribute to Faculdade Unyleya’s commitment to open science, transparency, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Author Guidelines

The Revista Educação Sem Distância (RESD) accepts manuscripts in Portuguese, peer-reviewed, that meet the journal’s scope and comply with ABNT standards.
Authors must carefully follow the guidelines below and use the official templates:

General Guidelines

  • Language: Portuguese.

  • Paper format: A4, single column.

  • Margins: top, left, and right 3 cm; bottom 2 cm.

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12, spacing 1.15; paragraph indent 0.5 cm.

  • Applicable standards: ABNT NBR 6022 (scientific article), NBR 6023 (references), NBR 6028 (abstract), NBR 10520 (citations).

  • File format: Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF.

  • All submissions must be uploaded without author identification, ensuring blind peer review.

Structure of Research Articles and Final Papers (TCCs)

  1. Title (in Portuguese and English).

  2. Abstract (150–250 words).

  3. Abstract in English (optional for TCCs).

  4. Keywords (3 to 5).

  5. Introduction (including justification and objectives).

  6. Theoretical Framework.

  7. Methodology / Results and Discussion.

  8. Final Considerations.

  9. References.

Structure of Experience Reports

  1. Title.

  2. Abstract.

  3. Introduction.

  4. Description of the Experience.

  5. Results and Reflections.

Structure of Extension Articles

Research Articles

Articles resulting from scientific research or literature reviews, presenting consistent methodologies, results, and discussions, related to the central theme of the Educação sem Distância Journal.
